I was wary of this "as seen on tv" item. Usually, these types of things are just not worth the money. However, this is the exception to the rule. We've had our Vidalia Chopper for quite a while and have used it to chop many things and even for a few chili cookoffs.
When we first got it, I thought that it wouldn't hold up as it was mostly plastic, but we've chopped many, many gallons of vegetables and other items with it. We traditionally make several gallons of fresh salsa for our July 4th get together. Usually, it takes hours to get all of the peppers, onions, garlic and tomatoes chopped. This year, I used the vidalia chopper to do ALL of the chopping. I had 4 people "feeding" me the ingrediants and I was able to keep up with them. We finished in less than an hour with 4.5 gallons of salsa. I've used the spinner style choppers and the bang bang style, but the vidalia chopper is absolutely the best. I just saw the commercial for Vidalia Chopmaster. I can't wait to get that bigger unit.

I have 2, and have bought others for friends. They work great, except cleanup of the top is time consuming. I wish they would make a slicing blade for veggies too.

I HAVE BOUGHT 2 OF THESE SLICERS AND I REALLY LOVE
IT. I USE THE SMALL BLADE FOR EGGS FOR SALAD. I
ONLY HAD ONE PROBLEM I HAVE TO BUY ANOTHER BECAUSE
IT SEEMS THE HINGE THE TOP HOOKS ONTO BREAKS. ONE
BROKE WHEN I DROPPED IT THE OTHER WHEN TRYING TO
PUT A LARGER SIZE POTATO TO CUT. OTHER THEN THAT I
FIND IT VERY VALUABLE AND SAVES ME FROM TRYING TO CUT
ALL THOSE EGGS FOR EGG SALAD IN TINY PIECES.

I'm a firm believer in this product . I purchase this product not thinking it would be that good but it is better than good.I am a manager of a high school and i took my chopper to school and we chopped most everything,. that is a lot of chopping but not for this bad baby. The only thing that you really can't chop is meat but of course we are talking about a school making a lot of chef salads. That is why i'm going to buy several,it will make very good Christmas gifts for people who has gardens and needs to chop their vegetables. I really can't say enough about this product except don't quit making it because it is a very good product. Thank you Pat Foster

I have bought 2 of these in the past year & others are right the plastic breaks quite easily, however, I use this product more than any other kitchen appliance I have & I do have just about everything that has come out. Both of mine have broken at the hinges BUT I fully intend to purchase another. This is one appliance I will not be without. I do alot of cooking & canning. Would love to have one in stainless steel with alittle heavier blade that would last.
I JUST CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS MACHINE......My mom lives with me & is 87yrs young so I dice alot of her food as you could for a young child. That way it is easy to chew but you still get the full flavor of the food. Just needs to be made a little more durable & I think anyone would be nuts not to want one.
